I have over 25 years of experience in the fitness industry, and I believe fitness should be simple, encouraging, sustainable and something you can stick with long term. My goal is to help you feel stronger, more confident and more energized - at any stage of life.

I love training with Bekah! I have always been dedicated to staying active through group fitness classes and regular workouts, but I didn’t know how to tailor my training to match specific goals or protect myself from injury. It’s hard to believe but I have been working out with Bekah for over a year now. In one sense it is hard to believe it has only been a year because it feels like I have known her for so long. In another it feels like just yesterday that I got the courage to wake up early and walk into her garage. I have spent almost every Tuesday and Thursday morning with Bekah for the last year and it has really changed me. I have lost weight and I am more toned, but more than that I feel like the best version of myself! I joined Lighthouse just after they opened their doors (with much anxiety), as I was looking for a gym after relocating back to Austin. Bekah and the staff, as well as the community were nothing beyond welcoming and encouraging. When the pandemic hit, there was no hesitation, and after a week, they started offering classes virtually. Then, as soon as it was safe to open back up, they opened their doors for us to either go back to the gym or continue with online workouts. I continue to be challenged with each workout and can’t say how much the continued encouragement has helped me on my wellness journey. Bekah offers care for your mind, body and spirit. I’m not gonna lie...I don’t like to exercise. But you know what I do like? I like Bekah. I like her enthusiasm, her encouragement, her warmth. Huge thanks to Bekah Ann Self. She has coached me through a loss of 24 pounds. Shooting for another 10. I’m pretty sure my cholesterol will be improved. The microscopic colitis is under control with the autoimmune protocol diet. Taking less sleep medication. I’ve been able to get off the anti-depressant I was put on after the year of knee surgeries. And, I’ve suffered with a progressive nerve problem (CRPS) since breaking my foot in 2010 and that pain has subsided.
